Jolie was introduced to me by a family member when I became the sole intermediary between my 95-year-old aunt and her assisted-living facility. Her circumstances were dire in that she had been living at this facility for 4+ years but had finally exhausted all of her personal resources and was no longer able to self pay. As a result her facility had moved against her legally in an attempt to evict her. I was completely at a loss as to how to assist my aunt who was facing a complete upheaval in every area of life. Patient advocate extraordinaire!: Jolie is responsive, informative, and results-oriented. Jolie assisted me with a long-term health care claim. With her experience in the health care industry, she knows what documents are needed and in a format suitable to insurance policy gatekeepers. Although qualified for services, my Loved One's application was originally denied because the insurance company provided opaque guidance on documentation to submit — so I was learning piece-meal about how to navigate the appeal process, all alone, without a seasoned guide at my side. I had been asking around for months to everyone I knew for this type of service, but to no avail until a Nurse Practitioner provided Compassionate Healthcare Advocacy of Texas’s contact info. Jolie’s sage advice and guidance no doubt cut months off of the appeal process. And the results were as Jolie predicted: my Loved One legally qualified for services, per the insurance contract. My only regret is that I had not found her earlier to assist with the original application. I’m perplexed that there are not more patient advocates out there.
